Our history: the path to success
1993 Company Formed
Edgemont Video, Inc. was founded in 1993 by the Doss family as the result of a passion for video production. It all began with the creation of a nature video entitled “My Father’s World” — shot entirely on a Canon L1 and a Panasonic AG-450. Following the release of their first video, the Doss family sought to improve their production quality, and continued on making high quality nature videos.
1997 Equipment Sales
In the process of looking for high quality used equipment, Edgemont Video came across an east-coast based company that was selling an entire warehouse of video and audio production equipment. Edgemont was able to purchase their stock and liquidate the entire warehouse, quickly becoming a major supplier of used video production equipment.
2000 Integration and Beyond
As time went on, Edgemont stayed in step with the industry and began to sell & integrate new and rapidly evolving digital media equipment. Over the years, this growing company has had the privilege of supplying a wide range of AVL systems, fully dedicated to the technology and innovation that makes today’s media industry possible.
2009 Technology Supersystems
Edgemont began offering full turn key systems that not only included their strong AVL solutions but now incorporated a full IT offering, security, phone systems, and more. These system packages have proved their worth by supporting critical media and infrastructure needs in large venues.
2024 Expansion and Advancement
The Edgemont AVL team continues to bring you the best equipment and service that is available, customizing each media system to your exact needs. With a start in video production, Chip brings years of real world experience to our clients. He finds that video work and photography is not just his job, but great hobbies too.

Ruthie Doss is the co-founder of Edgemont AVL and currently leads out in the accounting department, as well as working with order placements, media duplication, and customer communications.
She enjoys working with our customers to facilitate smooth and trouble free service!

Howard Doss is the co-founder of Edgemont Video and expert in video production. He works as a consultant and as a fabrication expert, with over 50 years of experience in metalworking, welding, and custom machine parts. He builds customized mounting pieces and supports for our heavy-duty lighting trusses, speaker arrays, and other such necessary hardware.

Jim Doss is one of our installation technicians and specializes in implementing our cable systems, audio equipment, and security cameras. He also designs and builds mounting hardware for our equipment installations.
Solving technical problems on the fly and creating custom solutions for our more difficult installations makes him an integral member.

Nathan Eaton is our audio system specialist, and with a background in music, he understands the need for quality sound system integration and tuning. He also works designing and building acoustic panels specific for the needs of your venue,
and brings attention to detail and creative innovation to our custom installations and sound treatment.

Elijah Joers is our IT and network services technician, and works with our team to design and provide high quality network cable systems and high density wireless networking infrastructure. He is UEWA certified and is an expert in wireless long distance data links. He also works with our installation team to plan and install the organized and cable managed equipment racks of all sizes.

Austin has joined us from a background in healthcare IT administration and desktop support. He enjoys solving complex technical problems and training our customers on their new integrated video systems. He's also very passionate about media production and has many hours of experience running live events.
